Zeenat Begum (Kiron Kher), is a famous actress who rules the film industry and has everything in life. Unfortunately, Zeenat´s happiness is shattered when she finds that her son, Emmi (Arif Zakharia) is a eunuch. She denies him as her son and refers to him as her younger brother to the outside world. She has an affair with a rising actor, Inder Kumar Bhalla (Shahbaaz Khan), only to lose him years later to a younger actress, Chitra (Tabu). Eventually Zeenat loses her No. 1 place in the film industry to Chitra (Tabu) and enters depression. She takes to alcoholism and begins to reject the people who love her. Meanwhile, Emmi tries to help his troubled mother while fighting off Champa (Sayaji Shinde), a Hijra head, desperately wanting Emmi to join her gang. What cruel fate lies ahead for the sorrowful life of these rejected souls?
